Child Development
From a secure base of knowledge in child development our practitioners aim to develop a strong, unique and individual relationship with each child and their family. Underpinning all Childbase practice is an endeavor to learn from our babies and young children to support them in their own learning journey.
-
Parents as Partners
By forming strong relationships with parents and children our practitioners provide an effective two-way flow of communication. Whether this is on a daily basis through feedback at the beginning and ends of sessions or through our parents or stay and play evenings we see that parents and practitioners can learn together to enhance the progress that each child makes.
-
Supporting Learning
Through strong bonds and relationships our key people aim to deploy effective teaching strategies to foster perseverance without a fear of failure. Our practitioners nurture a love of early learning experiences to prepare children for later learning and life.
-
Respecting Each Other
Childbase's key people endeavor to understand the feelings of each child through empathetic and child focused interactions. The older children talk about these feelings and those of others through their circle times to further enhance their social skills.
-
Inclusive Practice
Through an active Inclusive Practice policy we vigorously promote equality and diversity through partnership with parents, children and their community. Our environments are rich with resources and experiences to provide both a familiar and comfortably new context to enable every child to explore and discover their own ways of learning.
-
The Wider Context
Through our own self-evaluation we endeavor to achieve the five 'Every Child Matters' outcomes for all of our children. Through multi-agency working we find the best ways to support the children we care for and their families.
As our children may move between different settings we pay close attention to each child's smooth transitions and continuity not only between different providers but also within our own environment.
